In renovating the 3,200 s.f. space for our previous office space the emphasis was on maintaining existing historic fabric where possible but designing all new construction with a clear distinction. The main room with its 15' high ceilings, and large double hung windows functions as the design studio with defined work spaces for eight people.
Materials used include exposed HVAC ductwork, specialty low voltage lighting, exposed 2x4 framing for work stations faced with corrugated fiberglass panels and oriented strand board. Corrugated metal panels floating below the ceilings give scale to the spaces, reflect natural light into the spaces, and act as an acoustic buffer.
