Jimmy joined the firm in 1993, advanced to the position of Principal in 2000 and became President in 2012. Over this period of time he has been responsible for the design and management of a wide variety of projects including custom homes, multi-family and mixed use projects, clubhouses, community support facilities, and projects involving the renovation and adaptive re-use of historic buildings. Under his leadership of the firm, many of these projects have been recognized for their design excellence with state, regional, and national design awards in addition to widespread publications. Jimmy has also played a key role in business development and overall growth of the firm and its success. Before joining the firm, Jimmy’s career began with a decade of designing lower and higher educational facilities, senior living communities, health care facilities, and various public and government projects.
Jimmy has served on various committees such as the Spring Island Habitat Review Board, Developer’s Council Steering Committee for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, and the American Institute of Architects where he is active in the local and state components and has served on the Board of Directors multiple times since 1986. Other organizations include the Urban Land Institute, International Code Council, and Leading Charleston Forward.
